Vote for Squidoo in Open Web Awards

Mashable - the tech news blog - is hosting their 2nd annual Open Web Awards voting competition, which covers major online projects and technologies sorted into categories like Social Networks, Social Bookmarking, Search, Wiki, Non-Profit Causes, and such. The competition is currently in the first stage of online voting, which will last till December 3rd. Then the Final Round Voting will start, and the winners will be announced on December 16th.

Anyway, Squidoo has been nominated for two categories - Mainstream Social Networks and Non-Profit Causes - and you can vote for them here:

One vote is allowed for each category once a day. That means you can return and vote tomorrow, as well! All you need is a valid e-mail, since you'll have to confirm the vote by clicking the link PollDaddy will send you.

As for Squidoo's chances, I'm not sure they can hold their own against giants like Facebook in the Social Networks category - but perhaps they have a shot in Non-Profit Causes, since the concept of creating web pages for charity is just plain cool.
