Deep Linking Tool All CJ Affiliates Should Be Using

I have been a member of CJ (Commission Junction) affiliate marketplace for quite a long time, and even though I don't make that much money there, every bit helps. If you're working with CJ as well, you probably know that creating a link with them can take quite a while. First of all, you have to login to your account, then click Get Links and go to the tab of Advertisers sorted by your Relationship with them. Then you click "View Links" and select the one you need from the list.

Advertisers often have so many links, you actually have to search for the one named "deep linking" or "re-direct link" (whatever that particular advertiser decides to name it). Some don't even provide deep linking entries despite technically allowing it, so you have to build your deeplinks manually. Oh man.

Luckily, there's an official Deep Linking tool that supports all three major browsers (Firefox, Chrome and IE). You install this thing, navigate to a page on the merchant's website that you want to link to, and click the green CJ logo on your browser's toolbar. There are some optional settings, but usually you can just click "Create Deep Link" and you're done!

I can't believe I haven't discovered this tool earlier, but it really saves time if you do a lot of deep linking to individual products.

August 2011 Squidoo Payout

I am really happy to share my August payout with you, which surprisingly enough, is my highest ever! Squidoo sent $806 to my PayPal account, which is two hundred dollars more than my previous record. Amazon sales still only make up about 10% of this payment, so the size of it is largely thanks to the increased tier payments.

As usual, you can find Squidoo tier payouts for August 2011 below. Ad pool paid as much as $31.40 per tier 1 lens! InfoLinks did slightly worse this month than before, however.

Good times! It feels like Squidoo is truly shining recently, with snazzy lens themes, streamlined user interface, and ever-growing payouts. Now, if they had faster support response times, it would be near perfect.
